Stand-Alone Permanent Magnet Wind Power Generators alter the driving range according to the wind velocity and the rectified voltage of low- or high-speed drive generate a ceratin charged voltage in DC-DC converter transformer according to its PWM duty. DC-DC converter transforms the variable rectified voltage from the generator into the certain voltage output to charge the battery in accordance to the ratio of the size of output by the variable speed of the wind power generator over its duty. Therefore, the peak power has the optimum capacity to save the energy through the DC-DC converter in a wide range of velocities to bear higher efficiency compared to the existing control type.
The input voltage, electric current and speed of the generator is measured to control the size of duty ratio on a DC converter even in the low rotating speed of the generator (6m/s) to save the optimum peak power in the battery. The algorithm of the control type of a DC-DC converter charges the battery with a certain output through the ratio of the size of output by the variable speed of the wind power generator over its duty to realize the peak power checking in the wide range of velocities.
